2016 ended up being the worst season for monsoon activity in California in over 50 years. There was only one monsoon event day, July 1 where strong storms occurred in the Mojave Desert. However, I did not chase due to work commitments.

There were zero monsoon days the remainder of the entire season in California as the monsoon flow remained over Arizona.
